Teen Study Hall at the Orange Public Library & History Center

It is a crowded world out there and space is scarce. More so if you are a teen looking to be surrounded by your peers and away from children and adults. The Orange Public Library & History Center in Orange, CA wants to provide this additional space with its new Teen Study Hall program. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning in February, teens are invited to the Community Room from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This space is limited to teens in grades seven through twelve. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Teen Study Hall augments the space available in the Library’s Teen Zone as well as offers additional space from the study rooms and Teen Homework Center. Teen Study Hall provides a larger collaborative space to work on projects, socialize with others and play games. While no tutors are available at the Teen Study Hall, there is staff supervision. Teens may come and go throughout the hours and are welcome to take advantage of the homework help provided in our Teen Homework Center and then come in and enjoy the study hall group. One week they might finish that history project, another they might relax with friends, new and old. It is a space for teens to do what they want, in a comfortable area provided just for them and their peers.

No reservations are necessary. Please contact the Welcome Desk at (714) 288-2418 to learn more about Teen Study Hall and how teens can make it their own. The first session occurs on February 1, 2018. This program will continue throughout the school year with end date to be determined.
