Giving Back: Orange Rotary Club

The Orange Rotary Club is on a mission to impact the City of Orange. Founded in 1921 Orange Rotary has been passionate about impacting their community for over 95 years, and the schools of the Orange Unified School District are a main focus.

Starting with Orange High School, Orange Rotary has completed two beautification projects with an investment of over $15,000. Joined by students from OHS, Rotarians painted, planted and installed new benches at two locations in the front of the school facing Shaffer Street.

Next up was a new kindergarten playground and sod installation at Palmyra Elementary School. Prior to this, kindergarten students had no grass and only swings and a large pipe to play on during school hours. Total investment in OUSD is now at over $30,000. Orange Rotary already has another school in their sights for the upcoming year.

In addition to these community projects you can find Orange Rotarians regularly volunteering at Mary’s Kitchen, as well as serving on many other projects throughout the year including what is planned on being an annual event; helping fund and work at a multifaceted effort providing dental service to the local community through Orangewood Home.

Orange Rotary meets at 12 noon, every Thursday at The Orange Conference Center at 300 South Flower Street 92868. This year Orange Rotary has introduced their Satellite Club to help those who want to impact their community, but are unable to commit to a weekly meeting.
