Calling all Superheroes to Orange Public Library Comic-Con®!

The Orange Public Library & History Center will present its first ever Orange Public Library Comic-Con® on Saturday, May 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Comic, fantasy, and science-fiction lovers of all ages are invited to join in on exciting events taking place throughout the day.

All ages are invited to participate in cosplay for a chance to win prizes, and multiple photo opportunities will be available in different parts of the library. Teens can attend a drawing workshop. Children will have a blast making crafts, playing games, getting their faces painted, or attending a superhero story time.

Teens will also be able to participate in a special art contest. The Library will begin collecting submissions on April 1, and the submission deadline will be 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20. Art will be judged and the winners announced at 3:30 p.m. on May 20. Full details about the contest, including rules and regulations, will be posted online and in the Library.
In the Community Room, local businesses, comic artists, and authors will showcase their wares and works. All Comic-Con® attendees can pick up a free comic book and browse through other comic, sci-fi, and fantasy books available for purchase by the Friends of the Orange Public Library.

Visit the Library website at www.cityoforange.org/library for more information. A schedule of events, cosplay rules, a full list of attending vendors, artists, and authors, and much more will be posted as the event gets closer. This free event is generously supported by the Friends of the Orange Public Library and will be presented at 407 E. Chapman Ave. in Orange, CA.
